Remus

Remus was our second DDB. We were given the opportunity by Scott and Suzie Weaver to adopt him after he had retired. Remus was a gorgeous DDB and produced many beautiful dogues. He was the light of my husbands life ( I came in second). When my husband picked him up from the Weavers he hopped in the backseat and as they began the journey home my husband was covered in slobber from Remus' kisses. He had the biggest eyes and feet I have ever seen on a DDB. He made himself at home with his granddaughter Tillie and our Great Danes. He was the GOOFIEST DDB ever . After several months we finally heard him bark and it sounded like a seal. Wherever my husband went you could bet Remus was right there. They were pals as well as soulmates. This beautiful creature brought so much joy and laughter to our lives. We would like to thank The Weavers for letting us give Remus a retirement home. Remus passed away very suddenly from cancer. He had shown no symptoms of being ill until the morning he was taken to the vet. Emergency surgery was done and he had a mass the size of a football. Unfortunately, we had to make the decision to let Remus go. Remus we love and miss you everyday. Our lives will never be the same.
